We have tested this scale and are very pleased. To Operate Scale
The scale must be placed on a flat surface in a sheltered area. With the weighing container on, turn on the scale by tapping on its body. Scale will turn on all segments on the display. Wait until the display shows "0". Scale is now ready for use. Place the ingredients into the container to obtain the weight instantly. Power will automatically switch off if no weight applied and scale is idle for 20 seconds.
Tare Function
To weigh several different ingredients in one container, press the scale body once firmly to rest the display reading to zero between weighing each ingredient.
Unit Selection
You may use the switch on the bottom of the scale to select the weighing unit between g and lb-oz.
Cleaning and Care
Clean the scale with a slightly damp cloth. DO NOT immerse in water or use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents. All plastic parts (including container) should be cleaned immediately after contact with fats, spices, vinegar and strongly flavored/colored foods. Avoid contact with acids such as citrus juices. Unless otherwise marked or labeled, the container is NOT dishwasher safe and can not be used in a microwave oven. However, plastic container must never be used for heating food with a high fat or sugar content, eg oil, treacle. DO NOT use it in conventional ovens or on hot plates.
